I’ve had the pleasure of designing three t-shirts for the U.S. National Whitewater Center.  The latest design, call the “Current” shirt, is a women’s design featuring a swirling pattern, meant to represent the way the current moves through a river, forming eddies and waves.  Jennifer and the other folks at the USNWC have been great to work with, and I look forward to doing more work with them in the future.

The design presented some printing challenges, as we decided to run it over the sleeve seam a bit.  Luckily, I had the best print shop in the world, Image Ink, to take care of it.  Thanks to those guys for making my design look sharp.

Recently finished the DVD box art and disc face for Effort Inc’s “The Eddy Feeling” released under the Rapid Transit brand. Spencer wanted a look that expressed both the traditional and non-traditional aspects of the film, which explores the lives of paddlers as they balance work and kayaking.

I immediately got stoked on this photo by Chris Stafford of my friend Jeremy Pou. Great shot. I wanted a cool blue watery look, and the photo worked with it perfectly. There are shots of water, and a close up of a leaf in there in the layers.

To give it a personal touch, as the movie is very much about personalities, I hand wrote out several snippets from the actual interviews.

USNWC: Energy T-Shirt

Worked with Garrett Bryant at the U.S. National Whitewater center to come up with a design for their outfitters shop.  I enjoy working with Garett because he is really creative and always has good suggestions as to how to make a design better.

Image-Ink were the printers again on this design and they did a great job.  I was stoked that Garrett was willing to go with the print on the bottom-side of the shirt.  We printed on my favorite American Apparel slim fits again.

Here is the first Drug Free Lifestyle shirt we (Effort Inc and myself) made and sold in shops all over the country.
This was a limited run of 100 I think, but I’d love to reprint more.
Props to my folks at Image-Ink in Columbia SC for always doing such good print work.
We printed these on American Apparel slim fit shirts.

I did these a few years back for Fortress Worldwide.

Sadly, I never received the actual printed shirt with this design on it, but I’ve seen them around so I know they were produced.

This was one of my first experiments with “off centered” printing on a shirt.  See the mock up process below.

Fortress: Fist Shirt

This shirt features an abstract climber and my own arm.

I really love the shirt they chose to print this one on.  Olive drab, thin material, and sewn-in thermal sleeves to give a layered look.

This is the “Wound Up” graphic that I believe Fortress employees still use as their email signature.
